Algerian Minister of Foreign Affairs Ramtane Lamamra will pay on 7-8-9 April working visits to Paris and Washington, the ministry said in a statement on Monday.
According to the Algeria Press Service, Lamamra will pay on Tuesday a working visit to Paris to hold discussions with his French counterpart Laurent Fabius, a source said, adding that the two ministers “will broach the different areas of bilateral cooperation as well as regional and international issues of common interest.”
The high-level meetings between the Algerian and French governments “reflect the willingness of President of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika and his French counterpart Francois Hollande to work for the building of an exceptional partnership between Algeria and France,” according to the statement.
Lamamra will also pay on Wednesday and Thursday a working visit to Washington “where he will particularly co-chair with American Secretary of State John Kerry the 3rd session of Algeria-USA strategic dialogue,” added the source.
This session “will be devoted to the assessment of bilateral cooperation and its prospects in different fields as well as political and security issues of common interest,” said the statement.
