Travel industry in Abu Dhabi estimated to be worth $6.3tn
Abu Dhabi is building a new female-only beach, it has been announced today.
Current beaches Emirates Palace hotel are very popular with holidaymakers, but has become congested in recent years
.Located in Al Bateen, the new beach will be about 250m long and stretch 30m into the ocean, confirmed a spokesperson from the Emirates Palace Hotel.
It will be protected by female security guards and life guards and is expected to open this summer.
The beach will replace the emirate’s first ladies beach, located on Ras Al Akhdar, which, along with the adjoining open beach, was closed when construction began on the new Emirates Palace Hotel and the largest government facilities in the UAE.
Abu Dhabi is currently celebrating its success as a world renowned travel destination. The travel industry in the state is now estimated to be worth a colossal $6.3tn, 9.1 percent of the country’s GDP.
