Manama - Arab Today

Arabian Gulf University (AGU) The Ministry of Health (MOH) and the Arabian Gulf University (AGU) signed a cooperation agreement aimed to boost healthcare in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The agreement consolidates the medical education and training for medical and health science college students. The agreement is an updating of an existing agreement signed more than 20 years ago aimed to coordinate and boost bilateral cooperation and partnership between the Ministry of Health and the Arabian Gulf University.
The Minister of Health welcomed the signing of the cooperation booster agreement, praising the efforts of AGU officials and expressing the MOH readiness to boost cooperation with the AGU and described the agreement as a laudable initiative which reflects cooperation between GCC countries and confirmed the Bahraini political leadership's support to the AGU progress and called for expanding cooperation and moving from this agreement to areas of more cooperation.
The AGU Chancellor Dr. Khalid bin Abdul-Rahman Al-Ohali praised the effective integration-and-partnership relations between the Arabian Gulf University and the Ministry of Health, the spirit of the one team and commonly-shared goal of developing health and educational services in the GCC countries.
Dr. Al-Ohali said that the agreement aims to expand the circle of partnership between the University and the Ministry and consolidate existing cooperation between the two sides since the AGU headquarters have been established in Bahrain in 1982. (IY)
