The Al-Maktoum College of Higher Education in Dundee held on Friday a graduation ceremony for a 49-strong group of female students from the United Arab Emirates and Malaysia who have completed the annual Academic Training Programme (ATP).
This is the first time the Malaysian university has been involved with the ATP.
The event was held under the patronage of Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, UAE Minister of Finance and patron of the College.
It was attended by the City of Dundee's Lord Provost, Bob Duncan, Mirza Al Sayegh, Chairman of the Al Maktoum College's Board of Trustees, diplomats and professors from the UAE universities.
Forty-nine students from eight universities and colleges in the UAE, and five from the University of Malaya in Malaysia, undertook a four-week study programme on Multiculturalism, Globalisation, Leadership and Management. The programme also included tours of major educational and cultural institutions and historic landmarks in Scotland and Britain.
