COO of twofour54 Maryam Al Mheiri twofour54, Abu Dhabi, will participate in the upcoming Tawdheef recruitment exhibition, stand number 5C25 in Hall 5, in a bid to lure Emiratis into exciting careers in Abu Dhabi's burgeoning media industry. twofour54's participation in this year's exhibition aims to increase awareness of career opportunities in the media industry and to attract Emiratis to work in this influential sector. twofour54 will work to change the perception of the industry and illustrate the diverse range of opportunities in publishing, broadcast, digital media, gaming, animation, filmmaking, publishing and many more areas.
Maryam Al Mheiri, the COO of twofour54, said that the media sector is an integrated industry with growing opportunities, whose focus it on attracting Emirati talent and developing their skills for local, regional, and international success. She said twofour54 will also offer 22 career opportunities during the exhibition.
"The exhibition is a great opportunity for young Emiratis to learn about the importance of the media industry, how it impacts on the global communities' day to day life and the exciting career opportunities being created in Abu Dhabi," Al Mheiri added.
The media industry's expansion is part of Abu Dhabi's Economic Vision 2030 to develop a cross-section of local industries and move away from a dependence on oil. twofour54 aims to attract locals into the market by providing them with attractive careers and support for creative projects. Currently, 43 per cent of twofour54's employees are Emirati.
Al Mheiri also mentioned that twofour54 are creating jobs that are unusual and hard to find in areas such as animation, game production and interactive coding, in order to keep the youth interested. twofour54 train willing candidates through twofour54 tadreeb and support their creative ideas and participation through twofour54's creative lab. They have all the help they need to become leaders in creating content for other Arabs and the rest of the world.
The Tawdheef exhibition is an opportunity for companies to find and develop Emirati talent. It provides a platform for young Emirati men and women graduates of universities and colleges to meet with the employers in the public and private sectors that specialise various fields including media and entertainment, energy and banking, tourism and services and defense.
The Tawdheef exhibition, the UAE's leading recruitment exhibition that focuses on Emiratisation and employment in the UAE, attracts over 28,000 job seekers every year.
The exhibition is exclusively for Emiratis and it takes place in Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre from February 3 to 5 between 10am and 7pm.
