Sharjah Media Centre's Ramadan Majlis 2012
Sharjah Media Centre, the media and communications arm of the Government of Sharjah, has disclosed details of its second Ramadan Majlis activities, commencing
on July 14.
The Majlis will host ministers and key officials, poets, athletes and artists from the United Arab Emirates and the Arab world, to discuss various social, cultural and artistic topics.
Sharjah Media Centre's Ramadan Majlis will be held in the Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilisation, through focused seminars that address a number of topics including media, culture, arts and sports, in addition to poetry reciting nights, and important social discussions, which are in parallel to the spirit of the Holy month of Ramadan.
The discussions held at the Ramadan Majlis, under the slogan "Our Majlis is special during the holy month" will include topics revolving around the Arabic drama, the obstacles it faces as well as Arabic poetry and local sports issues.
Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed al-Qassimi, Chairman of Sharjah Media Centre, reiterated the centre's commitment in organising the Ramadan Majlis to highlight crucial intellectual and cultural issues, especially by hosting key figures including ministers, government officials, renowned personalities and specialists.
The Chairman of Sharjah Media Centre elaborated on the importance of the Ramadan Majlis in reinforcing Ramadan-related media communication, and in bridging the gap between the public and government and government officials, while celebrating Ramadan's evenings in a manner which produces societal and intellectual benefits.
Furthermore, a special session will be held during the Majlis to discuss sports in Sharjah.
