The Palestinian Journalists Syndicate has demanded that Syrian officials disclose the fate of Palestinian journalist Bashar Qaddoumi and ensure his immediate release.

in a statement received by Arabstoday expressed deep regret for what is happening in the Syrian lands and the escalating of military operations, which greatly endanger journalists life, calling warring and disputing parties to respect international conventions ans laws in order to provide security and protection to journalists and to stop targeting and threatening their lives."
The journalist was arrested a second day of Eid al-Fitr on August 20 in the Azaz area on the outskirts of the city of Aleppo which is subject to fierce military confrontations, especially with reports spreading about the exposure of Kaddoumi to injury before he was arrested.
Palestinian Journalists Syndicate also called all Arab and international unions to intervene immediately and urgently to clarify the fate of journalist Bashar Qaddoumi and press for his immediate release.
