Islamists gather outside Egypt's largest media headquarters
Cairo – Akram Ali

Islamists gather outside Egypt's largest media headquarters Cairo – Akram Ali Islamists protesting outside October 6 City’s Media Production City, against perceived bias against the government within the Egyptian press, have threatened to launch an “Islamic revolution” if January 25 demonstrators attempt to overthrow President Mohammed Morsi.
“As we believe in the Egyptian revolution and to protect its successes, we believe the first enemy of the Egyptian revolution is the corrupt media that works to divide the country between Islamists, civilians, nationals and spies,” one Islamist group claimed in a statement.
Another group equated Egyptian media channels with regime remnants loyal to former leader Hosni Mubarak.
Islamists claimed they were protesting outside Media Production City to deliver their message against the “corrupt media.”
Some have warned of “eradicating” media individuals they see as harmful to the January 25 revolution. “If the current regime is toppled,” one Islamist claimed, “we will organise an Islamic revolution.”
