Al-Bayan newspaper of Dubai Media Incorporated (DMI) announced yesterday that it would soon launch its new project 'Nation's Memory,' a national photographic platform that exhibits over three million photos of individuals and institutions, as captured by Al Bayan photographers.
This new platform is deemed a large window that demonstrates the historical images, faces, places, as well as social, cultural, economic and urban changes that occurred in the U.A.E. throughout its history. This rare documentary media project, the first of its kind in the region, constitutes a reserve of photographs that covers various aspects of life in the U.A.E. throughout recent decades. The Nation's memory will become available over the internet.
Dhaen Shaheen, CEO of publishing sector at DMI, Editor-In-Chief of Al Bayan newspaper, said, "Nation's Memory represents a distinguished media fountain under umbrella of the DMI." He expected that the project would catch attention of all sectors of community, being a platform for showing the achievements scored so far, as seen and documented by Al Bayan photographers.
