The fourth biennial Bahrain International Motor Show (BIMS)
Manama - Arab Today

The fourth biennial Bahrain International Motor Show (BIMS) The fourth biennial Bahrain International Motor Show (BIMS) is expected to attract 50,000 visitors between December 12 and 14 at the Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) in Sakhir. Crowd pleasers such as monster trucks and drift cars will be featured alongside an extended section for motorcycles and commercial vehicles with a focus on interactive exhibits and activities, reported the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.
Show founder Wassim Sami Farhoud told the GDN that holding the event at the BIC makes it unique.
"This is the major factor that other motor shows don't have," he said. "I have been to British motor shows and the Frankfurt Auto Show and I thought, this is going to be our advantage, the BIMS is on the track.”
"We are the only motor show that I know of in the world that is on the track. The closest thing to us in my opinion is the Goodwood Revival and that is a good benchmark I think,” he added.
"It's the only show in the world where I don't just speak about the new BMW model, for example, and show it to you - I can tell you to test drive it, and on a track where you can really see its potential."
Farhoud, a self-proclaimed petrolhead, hopes to expand the event by plotting the Middle East's first official monster truck tour.
The GDN reported last week that the Monster Truck Arabia will include shows in Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Bahrain and Kuwait.
