The Roads and Transport Authority, RTA, announced that the Dubai Metro Red and Green Lines, have posted high ridership rates for April, clocking 13,879,636 passengers, comparing well with last year's April figures of 11,298,414
.
Abdullah Yousef Al Ali, Acting CEO of RTA Rail Agency, said, "The number of metro riders in April shows that Dubai Metro has become one of the prime transit means for Dubai residents, visitors and tourists, offering smooth mobility and access to key parts of the city in a way that measures up to the needs and expectations of users.
"This year has witnessed remarkable growth in the number of metro riders compared to last year which has always been the core of our plans; tailored to deliver a whole host of initiatives and service improvements capable of enticing all community members to use the metro as a primary transit means characterised by security, luxury and safety," added Mr. Al Ali.
