Some 2-3 million people visit Mecca during Hajj each year
Touring Club of Algeria (TCA) will take on 3,000 pilgrims for the 2013 Hajj season, CEO Tahar Sahri has announced, adding that 40 years of experience in the field has “earned the trust” of the National Haj and Umrah office
.(TCA), which has 35 agencies across Algeria, plays an important role in Algerian tourism.
“State policies aiming to enhance tourism infrastructure over the past few years will only encourage our company to collaborate with Algeria’s national air carrier, Air Algérie,” he added, which has already set competitive prices in an effort to attract ever more tourists.
TCA is a member of international travel bodies, as well as the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) since 1994. Apart from carrying out traffic accident awareness campaigns, the company is now in partnership with Allianz Insurance.
The company has also created a tourist guide to Algeria, introducing the various historical sites of interest as well as the traditional dress worn in the region.
