Al Ain Zoo The Al Ain Zoo has recently participated in the 34th World Travel Market exhibition in London as part of the Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority suite to showcase the menagerie as a premier tourist destination in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and the U.A.E., one that attracts roughly one million visitors per year.
Organisers of the Al Ain Zoo stand highlighted the services and interactive experiences offered, as well as the zoo's diverse and unique collection of approximately 4000 animals, many of which are endangered species. The team also seized the opportunity to communicate the latest uplift projects that aim to enhance visitor experiences, and thereby the tourism sector in Al Ain as well.
Abdulrahman Ghanem Almutaiwee, UAE Ambassador to the United Kingdom, visited Al Ain Zoo's stand at the exhibition, learning about the zoo's efforts in tourism, education and conservation, and also discussing the recently-completed enhancements.
Ghanim Mubarak Al Hajeri, Director-General of the Zoo and Aquarium Public Institution in Al Ain, commented, "Our aim in participating at the World Travel Market is to introduce visitors to Al Ain Zoo and highlight the dedicated efforts of our team towards the tourism, environmental and education sectors of the Abu Dhabi Emirate. A number of upgrade projects were recently completed in different areas of the zoo, and such initiatives integrate our offering to bring the ultimate wildlife experience to visitors, in line with the Abu Dhabi Vision 2030 to promote the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and the UAE as premier tourist destinations." The Al Ain Zoo team also presented the Sheikh Zayed Desert Learning Centre to visitors. Embedded within the UAE World Desert area, the centre will feature educational exhibits that celebrate the wildlife and traditions of the desert and the conservation-related vision of the late Sheikh Zayed, helping to chart a sustainable future for desert living.
