Sudan faces the "Yellow Fever" infection
The Ministry of Health in Khartoum has confirmed that the city is free from the "Yellow Fever" infection.
A source in Khartoum revealed to Arabstoday that the ability to transfer the disease to Khartoum is excluded,
due to the absence of the disease carrier mosquitoes, adding that the Sudanese authorities are ready for any emergency case.
The Ministry added in a statement that the total amount of infected cases by the "Yellow Fever" are 282 cases, where 85 were killed. The ministry has cooperated with the concerned authorities in order to allow 11 hospital in Darfur to be ready to receive any cases. Health awareness campaigns have been spread through local radio and health institutions and all other forms of media.
The Ministry confirmed sending federal teams for all governorates and cities and observing cases to achieve early detection for the disease. All necessary procedures have been followed up.
