Maison Martin Margiela is expanding its Replica fragrance line with 2 new scents
Paris - Arab Today

Created in 2012, the Replica fragrance line by Maison Martin Margiela aims to reproduce familiar scents tied to specific moments, places and experiences. The collection, which already includes six perfumes, is expanding this fall with two new references.
Launching on November 1, the first new fragrance is titled At the Barber's and was created by Louise Turner, perfumer at Givaudan. With its notes of basil, lavender, tonka bean and white musk, the fragrance comes directly from the memory of its creator.
"I was inspired by the memory of my father getting ready in the morning. Aromatic notes of lavender mingle with the smells of soap bubbles in the soft warmth of the bathroom," she explains.
The second new Replica perfume, Tea Escape, is inspired by a traditional Japanese tea ceremony seen by Fabrice Pellegrin, perfumer at Firmenich, during a trip to the country.
"The powerful and intoxicating fragrance of green tea made me want to create an accord around these notes. The idea was to combine a green tea accord with a note that is sweet, reassuring and comfortable."
The perfumer achieved this through a combination of bergamot and pink pepper, followed by a floral heart of jasmine absolute and osmanthus. A rarer puffed rice note rounds out the composition.
As the latest perfumes in the Replica line, the new creations join Beach Walk, Jazz Club, Flower Market, Promenade in the Gardens, Lazy Sunday Morning and Funfair Evening.
At the Barber's and Tea Escape will go for €81 at the brand's website and in select stores.
