After a shortlist selection and four weeks of industry training and mentorship, FLASH Entertainment has announced the final three UAE acts for the Emerging Talent Competition 2015, the newest addition to Yasalam, the largest city-wide entertainment festival run by any F1 race host city.
Jay Abo, Scott Attew and S.O.S. (Secrecy Over Supremacy) will perform at the F1 FanZone on the Abu Dhabi Corniche on Saturday, November 21st, before the winning artist will be announced to cheering crowds.
The three finalists have been put through their paces during intensive training and mentoring sessions in preparation for their shot at the crowning title at Yasalam 2015.
Facing down three jury members, the artists will have to impress the judges with their musical talent, and one lucky winner will have the opportunity of a lifetime as they are scheduled to perform live at Volkswagen Presents Beats on The Beach 2015 in front of thousands of music fans, before heading to The Village at du Arena to perform into the FLASH 2016 events year.
First in the line-up is singer and guitarist Jay Abo, whose soulful voice and unique style makes him an exciting prospect for the future. Joining Abo on the Corniche is revolutionary collective S.O.S (Secrecy Over Supremacy), and the final artist to feature in the Emerging Talent Competition will be the enigmatic Scott Attew.
Lee Charteris, VP Operations, FLASH Entertainment and ETC jury member, commented on the difficulty in selecting the three finalists, saying, "It has been thrilling to watch our expectations be blown away by the first year's host of submissions, in particular the time spent with the final ten during the training was a fantastic learning experience for everyone involved. There was so much ambition and talent on display in the room, which made it especially hard for us to select the three finalists. With their growth and skills, Jay, Scott and S.O.S. stood above the rest and we are confident that the UAE is in for an exceptional finale at the Abu Dhabi Corniche next Saturday."
Due to the high level of exceptional talent on display throughout the competition, FLASH Entertainment alongside the ETC jury confirmed that the remaining artists who made it through to the shortlisted rounds will also be performing at the F1 FanZone throughout Yasalam week.
