Director Bryan Singer has posted online a photo of Scottish actor James McAvoy getting his head shaved in preparation to play the iconic X-Men character Xavier.
This is McAvoy's third outing as the younger version of the bald superhero Patrick Stewart made famous in several previous X-Men blockbusters. X-Men: Apocalypse, the next installment in the prequel franchise, marks the first time McAvoy will be seen without hair in the role. The movie is set for release May 27, 2016.

"#Xavier reborn (in process ) #jamesmcavoy #XMEN #XMenApocalypse xmenmovies," Singer tweeted, along with a link to an Instagram image showing McAvoy losing his locks.
