Lebanese star Haifa Wehbe
Lebanese singer Haifa Wehbe has criticised the media circus surrounding her "minor dispute" with singer Ragheb Alama. Haifa told Arabstoday: "There is no malice between me and Ragheb, I'm always faithful to
my friends, and whatever happens, Ragheb will be a very special person to me."
She added: "When I was informed about his father's illness I sent him a text message to support him and his father, for whom I hold huge respect. Minor controversies don't turn friends into enemies, there were some people who tried to exploit this issue, but both Ragheb and I are aware of them."
Haifa also announced that her new album will be released soon, saying: "I took my time in order to prepare something that lives up to my fans' expectations."
Haifa denied reports of proven allegations that she was involved in an "illicit relationship."
"I will never forgive anybody who is involved in this conspiracy, I leave the case to be decided by the court," said the star.
