Al Watanya Channel
Tripoli – Emad Agag

Al Watanya Channel Tripoli – Emad Agag Drama and comedy mix in Libyan series which are broadcast on  local, satellite and radio channels with the current situation in Libya from tribal clashes, families and the war. The programs criticize both the previous regime   and the current Libyan authorities and their mistakes.
Although the channels formed a monopoly under the Gaddafi regime, there are now 18 channels being aired across Libya and also outside of Libya.
Many Libyans do not know how to support these channels which have only two channels that related to the country which are Al Watanya Channel and Libya Channel (Libyans know it as the crown). There are others channels which have private sector support.
But it is obvious from the reactions on the streets that most of series and Ramadan shows are not well received and did not achieve their aim of developing the country.
Actor Tarek al-sheikhy is from “Maqaleb al-pizza” s (Pizza Tricks) which is broadcasting on Libya Al-Ahrar Channel. he told Arabstoday  "the aim of this series is not to attack people for being loved by others, do not spread hatred between people as it bring problems to the person himself and there is no need for it."
The show has received poor ratings and Tarek as been criticised for his performance, when asked about this he stated “I hope the series next year will be better, we do not want supervision on the media in general, we overthrew Gaddafi’s regime because we want to enjoy freedom.”
As for the Libyan street poll, Mohamed Abdel Moaly told Arabstoday: “Ramadan programs this year are very weak, but we hope it will be better in the next years, the Ministry of Culture should support the media in general and strength the political side of art and approve criticism even if targets president."
Abdel Moaly refers to one of the most highly regarded of this year's dramas “Kellya wa Democratya” (Minority and democracy) which deals with the political party's projects and how to establish them and the program of national reconciliation.
In this regard, actor Omar Qarqoum said to Arabstoday “we did not take any support from the country in this series, pointing to that is was done by our efforts and the efforts of some good people in the area, who stay beside us to achieve success."
