Another thundering performance for "Jurassic World" at the box office snapped up $102 million for Universal this weekend, handing Pixar a second place opening for its first time.

"Jurassic World" has had a record-breaking opening two weeks, pulling in a total of $398.2 million in North America and shattering US and global opening records, estimates showed Sunday.

The fourth film in the popular "Jurassic Park" series, "Jurassic World" returns to the famous island featured in the original film and follows an experiment gone wrong at a dinosaur theme park.

The film's strong performance put Pixar's "Inside Out," an animated film about the emotions inside the mind of a young girl, into the second spot in its debut weekend with $91.1 million, estimates from Exhibitor Relations said.

That marks the first debut outside the top spot for animation studio Pixar, which is owned by Disney, since its first film was released in 1995.

"Inside Out" has received rave reviews, and sees comics Amy Poehler, Lewis Black and Bill Hader voice the animated emotions for Riley as the little girl tries to come to terms with her uprooted life.

Comedy "Spy" grabbed an estimated $10.5 million in ticket sales for the third spot. The spy comedy follows a CIA analyst (Melissa McCarthy) who leaves her desk job to do deep undercover to avenger her former partner (Jude Law).

Natural disaster thriller "San Andreas" took home $8.2 million in ticket sales for the fourth spot in its fourth week on the charts.

The film features Dwayne Johnson as a rescue pilot searching for his daughter in earthquake-struck California.

Genre-shifting coming-of-age film "Dope" got $6 million in box office sales in its debut weekend for the fifth spot on the charts.

"Dope" tells the story of high school student Malcom embarking on a life changing adventure as he tries to head to college and come to terms with himself and the world.

The prequel and third iteration of the "Insidious" supernatural horror films, "Insidious: Chapter 3," got $4.1 million in sales for the sixth spot.

Popular team singing sequel, "Pitch Perfect 2" took in $3.3 million for the seventh spot.

The hit movie starring Anna Kendrick tells the story of the Barden Bellas singing team banned from the competitive circuit. It has pulled in $177.5 million in six weeks on the charts.

Dystopian action flick "Mad Max: Fury Road" starring Charlize Theron got $2.8 million in ticket sales for the eighth spot, in its sixth week in North American theatres.

The ninth and tenth spots were rounded out by "Avengers: Age of Ultron" and "Tomorrowland," that got $2.7 million and $2 million respectively.
