Fahmy wants President Morsi to quit
Egyptian actress Tayseer Fahmy has strong rejected accusations of treason against National Salvation Front, adding that the opposition group is working in the national interest.
Speaking to Arabstoday, Fahmy defended
the alliance and refused to accept that the leadership was "trading martyr's blood" and only interested in electoral gains.
She urged all national parties to renounce violence, set aside political differences and focus on the needs of Egyptian people.
Fahmy added that Muslim Brotherhood needs to step aside from the political scene because "they have proved that they cannot lead the country, ever since Mohammed Morsi came to power."
