Director General of Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) Khalid bin Butti Al Hajrihighlighted the depth of economic relations between the UAE, Sharjah in particular, and the Republic of Serbia.
He noted SCCI’s keenness to develop commercial and investment cooperation with the investment sector in Serbia as part of Sharjah’s efforts to develop relations with the Republic in all fields, and its endeavour to open new investment horizons for Emirati businessmen in the various parts of the world to augment local economy and achieve prosperity and welfare to the society.
This came during Al Hajiri’s reception at SCCI’s headquarter of a Serbian high – profile economic and commercial delegation headed by Milos Perisic Serbian Charge d'Affaires in the UAE.
They discussed ways of boosting distinguished economic relations between the Emirate of Sharjah and the Republic of Serbia, especially in food industries, textile and leather imports and the facilities both sides offer for businesspersons and firms.
SCCI director general stressed the importance of finding common programmes between labour sectors in both countries to support cooperation.
Milos Perisic expressed deep thanks and gratitude for the warm reception and hospitality he and his delegation received in Sharjah expressing desire to enhance economic relations with Sharjah. He also invited Sharjah businessmen to visit Serbia to familiarise themselves with investment opportunities there.
He also highlighted the bilateral cultural cooperation between Sharjah and Serbia.
