Moroccan Prime Minister Abdelilah Benkirane
Moroccan Prime Minister Abdelilah Benkirane has emphasised the important of reforming Morocco's clearing system.
Speaking to members of the Clearing Fun Administrative
Council, the prime minister said that outlining simple money transfer rules was among his government's top priorities. He added that he wanted to empower poor people and achieve social justice.
The senior Moroccan official explained that the government had drafted a bill to reform the country's system, based on adopting several different mechanisms.
Benkirane said that the council needed the support of all political parties in Morocco, and explained that clearing fund reform would allow the government to achieve financial stability by protecting the purchase power of citizens.
