Libyan authorities are rebuilding Bengazi after the revolution
Tripoli - Suleima Abu Azza

Libyan authorities are rebuilding Bengazi after the revolution The Libyan government has pledged to accelerate the development process in the country, as a number of international companies expressed their desire to complete projects in Libya and invest in the North African state.A group of Italian food companies said that they want to set up production plants in the al-Jujfra area. Saleh Quenifad, supervisor of the industry sector in Jufra, said that the Italian companies presented a number of offers to establish a group of food factories.
Fostal Viola, an official in one of the Italian companies, said that it is possible to achieve the required changes, adding that the officials at the company would follow such changes during the coming period to decide how to benefit from the machinery in Libya.
Meanwhile, a conference titled 'Benghazi as an economic capital' continued, as participants submitted a number of papers to draft a plan for allowing collective transportation in the Libyan city, in addition to establishing 17,000 housing units.
Libya’s Minister of Telecommunications, Osama Abdurauf Siala, praised the economic exhibitions, adding that they would provide an opportunity for the international companies to visit Libya during the coming period to pave the way for investing in the Libyan market.
Libya is currently working to diversify the sources of its national income through supporting the oil sector that is considered one of the main sources of finance. Libyan Minister of Oil Abdel-Bary el-Aroussi commended the efforts of oil workers during a meeting with members of the National Company for Drilling. The minister said there was a need to improve the workers’ standard of living for the future, rejecting demonstrations and strikes that could increase the losses. He confirmed that the government is working to keep Libya’s quota in OPEC and to resume contracts that they signed before the Libyan Revolution with a number of international oil companies.
