Etisalat yesterday announced that its mobile payment solutions for parking services are now functional in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah. Sharjah is the third emirate to benefit from the Mobile Parking facility with the aim to launch the
service across UAE
The service is part of Etisalat's continuous efforts to support all ‘smart government' initiatives in UAE The mobile parking usage process is been simplified in coordination with the Service Providers to address the increasing demand on the service.
Customers in Sharjah can simply send an SMS from their Etisalat mobile to 5566 to pay for their car parking and enjoy this hassle-free service. Timely SMS reminders prior to the expiry of the parking permit will alert customers and enable them to save fines.
Khaled El Khouly, Chief Marketing Officer, Etisalat said: "The partnership with the respective Service Providers is in line with our long-term strategy to provide the best services that support m-government initiatives and result in time, energy and financial savings for our customers. Innovation is an integral part of our customer-centric business approach as we constantly strive to provide better and convenient services." "We have seen an increase in the number of service users' transactions by more than 50% and value of transactions by more 70% in the first quarter of 2014 in comparison with the same period last year." Etisalat has consistently upgraded the electronic and mobile solutions it offers to government departments and enterprises for the optimal benefit and convenience of the customers.
