The Syrian Cabinet discussed Tuesday the economic sanctions imposed by the Arab League on Syria and their effects on the Syrian people.
At a press conference
held after the Cabinet's session chaired by Prime Minister, Adel Safar, Minister of Information Adnan Mahmoud said the session focused on the economic sanctions imposed by the Arab League on Syria and their effects on the Syrian people.
Minister Mahmoud added that the Syrian Government considered a number of measures to deal with the repercussions of the sanctions on the national economy.
The Minister pointed out that the Government stressed commitment to provide all needs and requirements of citizens, adding that Syria is self-sufficient and enjoys a strategic stockpile of basic needs and food.
The Cabinet also discussed a bill on illicit gain and a bill on combating corruption aimed at encouraging social participation in protecting public money from corruption.
