UAE Minister of Economy Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, Minister of Economy, has met with Pablo Kang, Ambassador of Australia to the U.A.E., in his office at the Ministry in Dubai. During the meeting, Al Mansouri stressed that bilateral economic relations between the two countries witnessed a great development, commending the joint efforts towards expanding cooperation horizons in various economic, industrial and investment fields.
The Ministry of Economy said in a press statement that Al Mansouri and Mr. Kang discussed aspects of bilateral cooperation in the economic, industrial and tourism and vital projects to promote economic development for both countries.
The two parties commended the distinguished relations that bind the two friendly countries, where the U.A.E. is considered one of the most important partners of Australia.
Trade exchange saw a significant growth over the past few years, reaching up to $ 6 billion a year, while the volume of Australian investments in the Emirates was $1.6 billion in 2012.
The two sides stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation, especially with the existence of many opportunities for the development of relations in the fields of industry, food and agricultural products.
The statement mentioned that Al Mansouri praised the tourist and economic development in Australia, which represented a key factor in attracting U.A.E.'s investments and also made it an ideal destination for many tourists.
