NANTA still grows everyday to become better production, more entertaining
Amman - Agencies

NANTA still grows everyday to become better production, more entertaining The Korean Nanta show has introduced Jordanians to a unique concept that blends comedy, cooking, drumbeats and kung fu, to help mark 50 years of relations between the two countries .
Performed in top theaters around the world including Off Broadway in New York, Paris, Beijing and many other venues, the show uses kitchen utensils in the instrumental show.
Nanta is a Korean word that stands for random drumbeats, but also means reckless punching.
Band members use kitchen utensils to create drumbeats and perform stunts with knives, vegetables, flour and fire.
Event organizer Ann Hee Yeon said the show was about more than just entertainment, stating: “this show is international. It has been shown in the US, France, all European and Asian countries.  Yeon added that: "this year we mark 50 years of relations between Jordan and Korea. This show allows Jordanians to learn more about Korean culture and to expand cultural cooperation between the two countries".
The show centres around a group of cooks as they hurriedly try to prepare a wedding meal on a tight deadline, as the audience takes cover from flying pieces of vegetables.
Music performed in the show takes inspiration from Samulnori, a traditional Korean folk music introduced in a modernised Western manner.
