The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) on Thursday adopted extending mandate of the UN mission for Libya till September 15, 2019.
The mission, according to the freshly passed relevant resolution, will continue to back up the political process and dialogue among all Libyan parties according to the local concord.
It will be in charge of the transitional period, organizing elections, backing main institutions, helping in providing basic services and delivering humanitarian aid to those in need.
Moreover, the mission will monitor human rights' status, securing arms for its personnel, combating arms proliferation, backing the national conciliation government for restoring stability in strife-free regions including those liberated from the so-called Islamic State (IS).
The mission, since its presence in the country in March 2016, has backed up the presidential council and the interim security commission.
