The activists claimed that heavy fighting in the town of Zabadani between the Army and security forces and the activists too place, where an exchange of heavy machine gun firing could be heard for several hours. They also claimed that large explosions and gun firing could be heard from Latakia.

In Damascus a group of Syrian lawyers held a sit-in inside the Palace of Justice in the designated area for lawyers which lasted for three hours. Other sources confirmed that more military forces were brought to Hums, where earlier yesterday tanks have taken control of the neighborhoods in Bab al Sebaa, Duraib, Khalidia and Qusoor, in addition to Bayyada and 60th Street.
According to Human Rights organizations these security campaigns disconnected both land and mobile phone lines.  In Washington D.C spokeswoman for the US Department of State Victoria Nuland said in a statement released today that the Syrian Army’s behaviors as inhumane and reaffirmed that President Bashar Al Assad has lost his legitimacy.
