Sudan’s Popular Conference Party stressed that the current controversy over the constitutional amendments will end through the national accordance among the different parties, stressing their commitment to the recommendations of the national dialogue and its keenness to participate with the government to execute these recommendations.

Political Director of Popular Conference Party Kamal Omar said, in a press statement, that the dialogue decided to authorize Sudan’s President Omar Hassan Al Bashir choose the prime minister and to form the new government, describing the choice as an important choice to support the dialogue between the political parties.

He stressed their insistence on keeping the dialogue to achieve its recommendations as the only guarantee to achieve security and stability in the country during the coming period. He added that the new constitution will be drafted upon the political dialogue scheduled to be held among the different Sudanese parties.

He added that the Popular Conference Party would participate in the coming government if the constitutional amendments met the recommendations of the national dialogue, stressing, “We do not seek to achieve the impossible mission. We just need to achieve the recommendations of the national dialogue.”
