Protests that call for a dismissal of members of the military Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh, rejected the protests that call for a dismissal of members of the military who are accused of involvement in corruption he also described the protests as sowing 'chaos' in the country.
Yemen's news agency Sana,president Saleh said that the collapse of these institutions which have been gradually been built over 49 years should not be allowed to happen.
This follows reports published by Associated Press of America, on Saturday of a rebellion within the Republican Guard run by the son of President Saleh.  The news agency quoted a Yemeni military official as saying that Brigadier Ahmad that the process of suppression of a revolt of the officers within the Republican Guard.
The military official, said the president's son arrested dozens of officers so far, and the purpose of suppressing the rebellion is to prevent the officers from attending demonstration against his father's regime. .
Sources confirm that President Saleh is doubling efforts aimed at stopping the spread of protests into state institutional that would lead to a total collapse of the state aparatus.
