Saudi King Salman on Friday has sent a cable of congratulations to U.S. President Donald Trump after he was sworn in as the 45th President of the U.S.
The Monarch expressed congratulations and wishes for abundant health and happiness to the president and steady progress and prosperity for the friendly people of the US, Saudi media reported Friday.
He lauded the well-established historical close ties binding the two friendly countries, and reaffirmed keenness to enhance and consolidate them, in all fields, in accordance with a comprehensive strategic vision, that serves the joint interests of the two friendly countries and peoples.
Donald Trump was sworn in as the 45th president of the U.S. on Friday, putting Republicans back in control of the White House.
In a similar congratulatory cable, Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Naif, deputy premier and minister of interior, congratulated US President Donald Trump on taking the oath of office as President of the United States.
