Head on Iraqi National Alliance Amar Al Hakim warned of the repercussions of the current violence and lack of confidence between the citizen and government, stressing the need for taking serious steps to achieve the national settlement project during the coming period. He said, “National settlement is not a decision, while a project, as we can retreat from our decisions but we cannot do the same with the projects.”
He stressed, “The national settlement should be inclusive and not to ignore any Iraqi faction, It is not a project end the conflict between Shiites and Sunnis only, but to achieve settlement for all components of the Iraqi community.”
He added that the main objective of this project is to build a state of justice for all Iraqis not to satisfy specific faction at the expense of others. He called for launching this project on the basis of the victories the Iraqis achieved, including the draft of Iraqi constitution and the elections.
