15 members of the Houthi militias and other forces loyal to Yemen’s former President Ali Abdullah Saleh were killed and others were wounded on Monday during three raids launched by Arab Coalition’s fighter jets targeting their positions in Midi of the Yemeni province of Hajjah.

Fifteen Houthis were killed and others injured in a coalition air raid targeting a gathering of them, military sources told the media center of the fifth military region. Coalition’s fighter jets also targeted reinforcements on their way to the militia, targeting a BMB vehicle and two military personnel south of Midi, the sources said.

The front of Naham, east of the capital Sanaa, witnessed on Monday fierce battles between governmental forces on one hand and the militias of Saleh and Houthi on the other hand. According to sources, the governmental forces launched a fierce attack on the positions of militias stationed in Wadi Jahm near Solb Mountain of Naham Directorate.

The sources added that the governmental forces seized large amounts of medium arms and ammunition, after the militia fled from their positions, during the confrontations. The fighting resulted in the killing of three militias and the wounding of others, at a time when we could not find any information indicating the deaths and injuries of government forces.

Yemeni governmental forces announced on Monday the killing of six Houthi leaders during the past two days, following the battles witnessed in Midi Front, in the province of Hajjah. The media center of the Fifth Military Region said, in a statement, that six leaders of the Houthi militias were killed along with a number of their companions during the fighting in the Midi coastal front on Thursday and Friday.

The statement said that the six leaders are Yahya Saleh Musleh Asaad, a member of the local council, the Directorate of the Shahl of the province of Hajja, and an officer in the Republican Guard. It added that the second leader is Ali Ahmed Mohsen Awad, from the Directorate of Shahl in the province of Hajja, while the third leader is Mohammed Saleh Hamoud Hamid.

Government forces on Monday accused militants of the Houthi group of abducting 35 people in Lahj province, south of Yemen. The sources said that the militia kidnapped 35 citizens, most of whom are under the age of 25 years, and blew them up at their headquarters in Al-Harija in the province of Lahj in preparation for transferring them to a prison in Damnh Khadair, Taiz province.

They added that the militia kidnapped citizens under the pretext of providing the fighters of the Arab Coalition with coordinates determining the location of their intensive presence in the region. The militants kidnapped the citizens immediately after the two air raids launched by the Arab Coalition on Monday targeting the headquarters of the militias in the same area.

On the political side, Yemen’s President Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi hosted U.S Ambassador to Yemen Matthew Tholler to discuss the developments in the country and the issues of mutual interest in addition to the current efforts aiming to contain the situation in the country during the coming period.

On his hand, President Hadi renewed his call for peace and harmony stressing the need for ending the coup and the removal of its causes, which led to the abduction of the state and the occupation of its institutions and the invasion of cities in addition to the killing of innocent people.

The American diplomat expressed his appreciation to the efforts exerted by President Hadi to achieve peace in Yemen and to end the current war, stressing his country’s support for the Yemeni legitimate government. He stressed the American support for the steps taken by the Yemeni president. He stressed their keenness to resume coordination to serve the interests of the two countries.
