Russian and Syrian regime warplanes launched on Tuesday a number of airstrikes on several areas in the provinces of Idlib and Hama, as a response to a previous attack waged by Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham that includes Fatah al-Sham faction.

Last week, Russia, Iran, and Turkey, known as the guarantors of the peace talks in Astana have agreed to establish four de-escalation zones in Syria and to deploy 1,500 monitors along the border of Idlib, parts of Hama, Latakia, and Aleppo, to prevent any clashes between regime forces and opposition groups.

However, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported on Tuesday that Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham launched an attack that targeted regime forces positions in the northeastern countryside of Hama.

“Fierce battles erupted at the administrative border between the two provinces of Idlib and Hama, killing 12 militants from Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham and 19 members from the Syrian regime forces and their allied armed men,” the Observatory said.

It added that Russian warplanes directly targeted on Tuesday four medical institutions including the Obstetric Hospital in al-Tah town, Al-Rahma medical point of Khan Shaykhun, the vicinity of a hospital in Kafr Nabl and a medical point in the nearby Marzetta town.

The strikes also hit several civil defense positions in areas controlled by the factions. Meanwhile, the Russian Defense Ministry announced on Tuesday that regime forces were being attacked by US-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) militants.

“According to the reports of the Syrian Army commanders, the most vicious counterattacks and massive shelling are launched by the SDF,” the Russian Defense Ministry’s spokesman, Major General Igor Konashenkov, said. He added that “If the US-led coalition does not want to fight terrorism in Syria, it should at least be out of the way and not prevent those who really do that consistently and effectively.”

On the military side, the violent clashes are continuing between the Syria Democratic Forces against the “Islamic State” organization, in the vicinity of the center of Al-raqqah city and other areas in the north-east of the city, accompanied by shelling by the forces of the “Euphrates Wrath” Operation on areas in the city, amid renewed air strikes on areas in Al-Raqqah city, while warplanes targeted by several air strikes areas in Madan town in the eastern countryside of Al-Raqqah, which caused material damage, without information about casualties.

Areas in Al-Rastan in the northern countryside of Homs, were shelled by he regime forces, which caused material damage, and the fall of wounded, while the violent clashes are continuing between the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them on one hand, and the members of the “Islamic State” organization on the other, in areas in Jib Al-Jarah – Sha’ir – Shomariyyeh Triangle at a distance of about 50 km to the east of Homs city, and the clashes are accompanied by exchange violent shelling between the both parties.

A citizen and a female child were killed by bombing by warplanes on areas in Al-Taybah town, in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor yesterday dawn, while a drone plane targeted, yesterday morning, a member of the “Islamic State” organization near Rawdat Al-Rihan in Al-Mayadin city, which immediately caused his death, warplanes also carried out several raids on areas in Al-Boleel town and the outskirts of Al-Toob village in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, which resulted in the death of 4 citizens two in Al-Boleel town and the others in Al-Toob village, warplanes also bombed areas in the villages of Al-Masrab, Al-Enabah and Al-Tareef village in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor, and no information about injuries.

Explosions shook al-Shaddadi are in the southern countryside of al-Hasakah city, caused by bombings targeted al-Jabseh Gas Plant in al-Shaddadi area which is controlled by the Syria Democratic Forces south of Al-Hasakah and a site of the Syria Democratic Forces, reliable sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory that 4 members of the “Islamic State” organization were able to infiltrate into the plant area and then detonate themselves in the area after clashes between the attackers and members of the Syrian Democratic forces.
