The train movement on the Upper Egypt route was back to normal after a train broke down in a village in Sohag.
The train was hit by a technical glitch on Friday night in Sohag on the Cairo-Aswan rail line while driving through a level crossing.
The train carriage was removed from the site and replaced, allowing the train to go on after nearly a two-hour halt.
