A subsidiary of Russia's Gazprom gas giant has signed an agreement to buy 10 Sukhoi Superjet 100 airliners at the MAKS-2011 International Air Show in the Moscow region, Gazprom said on Wednesday. Supplies are scheduled for 2013-2015. The Superjet 100 is a family of medium-haul passenger aircraft developed by Russia's Sukhoi aircraft maker in cooperation with U.S. and European aviation corporations, including Boeing, Snecma, Thales, Messier Dowty, Liebherr Aerospace and Honeywell. The first commercially-produced Superjet 100 was handed over to the Armenian airline Armavia on April 19. The plane has already made over 100 flights, carrying more than 3,000 passengers and traveling a distance of about 100,000 kilometers (62,137 miles).
