Cairo - MENA

Movement on underground Metro Line 1 is back to normal after a partial halt between Dar el Salaam and Malak Saleh stations due to a technical malfunction in one of the trains.

Spokesman for the Egyptian Company for Metro Management and Operation Ahmed Abdel Hadi said in statements on Tuesday that the train suffered a major brake failure, causing a temporary halt.

Abdel Hadi added the train was pulled off the rails and the Metro is currently operating full power.
