Malaysian authorities called on establishing a strong regional partnership to exchange information and data among civil aviation bodies and intelligence agencies in countries facing civil aviation security threats.
Malaysian Deputy Minister of Transport, Abdulaziz Kaprawi said on the sidelines of a work shop about aviation security in Southeast Asia, that current and future dangers of civil aviation security became extremely complicated.
Such threats are not only represented in the disappearance of airplanes, but also in penetration of aviation security devices being attacked by terrorist groups, he affirmed.
"We realize that air cargo security is still weak, taking into consideration the civil aviating threats" Kaprawi said, adding that Malaysia is adapting more strict security measures in air cargo, yet a number of incident of hiding explosives and transferring them by cargo took place.
The Malaysian Ministry of Transport will publish by March 7, a report on the missing Malaysian Airlines Flight (MH 370) that was missed in March 8 2014, and is not found yet, he said.
The report will not explain the missed flight status, as the searching operations are still taking place, he added. Kuala Lumpur is hosting this work shop for the first time, with the participation of representatives, and members of the US embassy in Malaysian, besides 10 organizations for aviation security in The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) countries, along with representatives of Australian civil aviation organizations.
