Hogg Robinson Group (HRG) has won a contract with Cairn Energy PLC to manage all aspects of the company's travel programme. Cairn Energy is one of Europe's leading independent oil and gas exploration and development companies, and is listed on the London Stock Exchange FTSE 250. As an international company, with assets in a range of locations, Cairn approached HRG to help devise and implement a more efficient and intuitive travel programme with greater controls built in to ensure adherence to corporate travel policy. The programme will include HRG Online, which will make it easier for travel to be booked within the framework of Cairn's agreed travel policy and HRG TripPASS which will add a further layer of control of business travel spend by ensuring all 'Out of Policy' travel requests are approved at the appropriate level. Trips can then be approved via an online approval screen or directly from an email, ensuring the process is as efficient as possible for both the traveller and approver. Murdo Mackay, Head of HR & Facilities at Cairn Energy PLC, said, "When we approached HRG we were impressed by their combination of innovative technology and excellent service. The system that they have created for us gives me the confidence that we have the right balance of simplicity, control and flexibility to match our growing travel requirements."
