Hong Kong - Xinhua

The government of Hong Kong on Wednesday adjusted the Outbound Travel Alert (OTA) for Thailand to the lowest level of Amber as floodwater in the country has receded, Hong Kong residents who intend to visit the country are reminded to monitor the situation. Those who are already there should attend to their personal safety, a government spokesman said. Those who plan to visit the affected areas or are already there should pay attention to announcements by local authorities, the spokesman said. According to the Thai authorities, 16 provinces including Bangkok are still affected by flooding at varying degrees. On October 25, Hong Kong issued Red OTA for Thailand's flood- hit areas including Bangkok. Hong Kong also removed the Amber OTA for Albania and Belarus the same day.
