An Abu Dhabi travel agency has seen "high demand" for its new AED250,000 around-the-world package, which will visit ten luxury global destinations by private jet, Arabian Business has learnt. Omeir Travel Agency in Abu Dhabi has launched 'Around the World by Private Jet' package which offers 78 passengers a 22-days trip around the world to ten luxury destinations. Prices for the all inclusive package start from AED250,000 ($68,068) per person and John V Kailath, manager of VIP Holidays at Omeir Travel Agency, said it had attracted "especially high demand."The trip will start on October 29, 2012 in Los Angeles and the itinerary will take in Hawaii, Australia, Bali, Thailand, the Taj Mahal in India, the Pyramids and Sphinx in Cairo, and will conclude in the UK capital of London. Guests will travel in a VIP configured Boeing 757 aircraft, which features a spacious cabin with plush interiors, an onboard library and a crew of around sixteen."There is no doubt that travel has been affected by world economic pressures, however the luxury sector remains strong and first class travel experiences have retained their appeal," said Kailath. "There are many travellers who seek high end travel products and as such we developed our Luxury Indulgence department to specifically cater to the needs of these guests," he added. It is not the first time an Abu Dhabi travel firm has come up with an extravagantly priced concept.Last year, Abu Dhabi private jet firm Royal Jet offered wealthy GCC travelers the chance to travel in style to Dubai and stay at the seven-star Burj al Arab. Prices for the two-night holiday package started at $33,785 and rose to more than $75,000.
