EVA Air has launched its new Hello Kitty Speed Puff Jet on a flight from Taipei to Tokyo. Hello Kitty characters joined EVA officials at the Taoyuan International Airport departure gate to see passengers off on a fun flight. An Airbus 330-200, the Hello Kitty Speed Puff Jet is colourfully painted with free-floating clouds, whisking passengers through blue skies on a smooth, cheerful flight. EVA is operating its Hello Kitty Speed Puff Jet on regularly scheduled flights to Tokyo in the mornings and Hong Kong in the evenings. Since October 2011, EVA has introduced five Hello Kitty Jets, all with different livery themes. The Magic, Apple, Global, Happy Music and Speed Puff Jets are all now operating on regularly scheduled service between Taipei and both Tokyo airports, Narita and close-in Haneda, Chitose (Sapporo), Fukuoka, Hong Kong, Seoul, Guam and Shanghai’s close-in Hongqiao International Airport. In addition to more than 100 passenger-service items, EVA and the Sanrio Co. Ltd. have worked together to create charming duty-free selections for travellers’ in-flight shopping pleasure. A future Star Alliance member, EVA links a network of major business and leisure destinations worldwide, including dozens of cities in China and throughout Asia.
