Cabinet approves new traffic law
Transport Minister Hesham Arafat
Cairo - MENA
The cabinet approved on Wednesday the new traffic law, Transport Minister Hesham Arafat said.
Speaking at a press conference Wednesday, Arafat said the draft law was referred to the State Council for revision.
The Trade and Industry Ministry will cooperate with the Interior and Transport ministries to set technical specifications of public transportation means, he added.
The new law is composed of 95 article and aims at maintaining discipline and reducing accidents on streets through making use of the latest technological techniques.
