An Air India Express flight travelling from Kuwait to Calicut in India was diverted to Muscat International Airport after it developed technical problems, a senior official attached to the airline industry said.
The flight landed at Muscat International Airport around 7.45 am in the morning. “The flight then took off from Muscat at around 10.30 am, and reached Calicut at 3 pm local time,” the official said.
IX 396 had left Kuwait International Airport at 3.50 am and was expected to reach Calicut in the Indian state of Kerala at 10.15 am, before being diverted to Muscat.
