After Furious 7 took home the award for Choice Movie: Action, star Vin Diesel took the opportunity to honor and pay tribute to his late friend Paul Walker Sunday at the Teen Choice Awards.
"I can't stand here and be rewarded like this without talking about somebody very, very, very important to us," Diesel, who stood alongside costars Ludacris, Jordana Brewster and Michelle Rodriguez, said as the crowd cheered. "One of the best blessings in our lives is the fact that we have the opportunity to call Pablo our brother. Paul Walker is here in spirit with us."
Diesel then went onto mention how Walker's family including his daughter Meadow Walker kept the cast going following the actor's death in 2013.
"Since this is a Teen Choice Award, you beautiful teens, there is one teen in the audience that is a part of the family that kept us going," an emotional Diesel continued." "It's Paul Walker's family, his brothers, his parents, that kept us encouraged while we were filming Furious 7. But there's one very, very, very special teen here. And her name is Meadow Walker."
Co-stars Ludacris and Brewster also chimed in with admiration for Paul Walker. "We miss you and we will always, always love you, Paul," Brewster piped in.
