Sultan Qaboos Bin Said of Oman met here Wednesday with President of Iran Hassan Rouhani.
During the meeting, they discussed ways of boosting relations between the two countries in various fields, Oman News Agency (ONA) reported .
The Iranian president, who is on a tour which will take him also to Kuwait, said in a press statement before heading to Oman that the countries of the region have always lived side by side, and that any misunderstanding can be resolved through dialogue.
He said that the six Arab Gulf states have recently delivered a message to Iran through the State of Kuwait on resolving misunderstandings and raising the level of relations, adding that his country has welcomed the principle of the message.
Rouhani also pointed to his country's policy of good neighborliness and ensuring security in the GCC region, and said that Tehran had not and would not think at all to attack or intervene in the internal affairs of other states.
