Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas today met in Geneva, United Nations (UN) Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on the sidelines of the 34th session of the Human Rights Council, Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) said.
President Abbas updated the UN Chief on the latest developments in the Palestinian territories, urging the UN to assume its responsibilities, in light of continuous Israeli aggression on the Palestinian people and its territories and sacred sites. President Abbas urged international protection to the Palestinian people, as well as a binding mechanism and a straightforward timeline to end the occupation and implement the Security Council International Resolution 2335.
