Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad Al-Malki held here today official talks with New Zealand officials to mobilize international support to the Palestinian political and diplomatic move at international forums within the context of coordination and consultation seeking UN resolution to end Israel occupation of Palestinian land in addition to the consolidation and development of bilateral relations between the State of Palestine and New Zealand.
During his meeting here today with his New Zealand counterpart, Murray McCully, Al-Malki discussed Palestinian and Arab efforts at the UN Security Council seeking a resolution ensures an end to the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territory within a specific date and an international guarantees for its implementation in addition to explore stances of the UN Security Council Member States , the groups , regional and international components in the United Nations , where several items of French initiative for a resolution in the Security Council were discussed.
For his part, McCully expressed his country's desire to present an initiative to seek a UN Security Council resolution to end Israel occupation and to bring peace, security and stability as a non-permanent member at the UN Security Council, revealing his interest in the need to put an end to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and to speed up an end to the occupation and settlement.
